Dr. Justin Ahoyt and his wife, Karen, both grew up in Plainfield — back when it was still a small town where everybody knew everybody. They’ve chosen to raise their family here, and that roots-run-deep connection to the community is a big part of why Dr. Ahoyt opened Ahoyt Family Dental in 2007 and has poured himself into it ever since.
Dr. Ahoyt completed his undergraduate studies at Lewis University before earning his DDS from Indiana University School of Dentistry. Over the years, his role at the practice has evolved from clinician to coach. Today, much of his focus is on developing the team, shaping the culture, and making sure every person who walks through the door — patient or staff — feels like they truly belong here.
Giving back has been part of AFD’s DNA from day one. Since opening, the practice has provided free dental care to those in need, and has now delivered over $350,000 in charitable dental services to the community.
At home, Dr. Ahoyt and Karen are kept happily busy by their four children, who are growing up fast and making their parents proud every step of the way. When he’s not at the office or cheering his kids on, you’ll find him pursuing his love of music, reading, exercise, and nutrition.
